"...roll back the specter of a warming planet. We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense,..." - this statement is a paradox. If American people care to live more frugal, more eco-nomic-ally and will not waver in its defense then it made sense especially in face of current economic recessions which was rooted in individualistic selfish-ness and greed. America must regulate strongly its billion dollars advertising industry now.
In this case the Obama administration must lead by examples and equally important by taming the wild 'casino' economy through strong and prudent re-regulations. Always taking into account the long-term aspect of sustainability and how it will cost the environment and its ecosystems and other species and us human inhabitants of this planet. So America must lead by being a RESPONSIBLE nation in this beautiful but fragile planet.
