The Corporate Unconscious Posted on November 22, 2014 by Rev. Andrew Mount

“No matter how large the corporation you are working for, it is always too small for even one human soul.” — David Whyte
[...]Consumerism, the overarching ethic that serves to justify the existence
of a corporate state, is also a function of the ego which perceives
itself insufficient without external reinforcement (e.g. creature
comforts). So convoluted has the social order become that we can hardly
extricate ourselves from the competitive mode of profit-driven
servitude, which clearly demonstrates our collective ego has been given
the reins. Attendant to this pervasive malaise is the wholesale
destruction of the Earth, a sacrifice that ironically affords the mass
their sense of security while eroding the essential basis of true
stability — the biosphere.
