Oscar Wegner played the tennis tour during the pre-professional days of the late 60s. After suffering injuries playing the Carribean tour he became an assistant coach to Pancho Segura in Los Angeles, where he developed his revolutionary approach to teaching tennis that emphasised on simplicity, natural movements and quick improvement. His approach influenced many past and current professional players such as Wimbledon champions like Bjorn Borg to the Williams sisters, Brasil's French Open champion Gustavo 'Guga' Kuerten, the Spanish Tennis 'Armada' and the many Russian players, to Thai player Paradorn Srichapan and more recently behind China's break through into Grand Slams like the US Open and Wimbledon. Like the former Soviet Union[now Russia] -- China's tennis federation translated Oscar's revolutionary book "Tennis In 2 Hours"(1989, self published) now published for the third time, this latest edition written with Steven Ferry is titled "Play Better Tennis in Two Hours" (2005, McGraw-Hill).
